Animals
Every now and then I come across animals that stand out for their funny looks. It may also be that I fall for them because of their appearance or qualities such as being able to talk or cross oceans. Whatever the reason is, it is always a pleasure to paint them!

The blue-yellow macaw parrot
2019This macaw is a large bird of about 80 cm and originates from South America. It stands out because of its blue feathers at the top and its yellow, almost gold-coloured feathers at the bottom. In the wild, these intelligent birds can live up to 30 to 35 years. They are also known for being able to have a strong bond with people and their quality to even be able to talk. All in all a very powerful and impressive bird. It will certainly stand out in your interior.
Group of flamingos
2018
I painted this one, because it looks so funny when the flamingos stand together as a group. So with their heads up where the sun shines beautifully.
The happy ostrich
2019This painting is a combination of watercolor and charcoal drawing. It gives it a playful look, making it ideal for the nursery. There are two similar paintings, 'The Satisfied Pig' and 'The Curious Alpaca'.
The satisfied pig
2019This cute pig is a combination of watercolor paint and charcoal. This gives it the appearance of having just stepped out of a children's book. Ideal as a painting for the nursery! There are two similar paintings, namely 'The curious alpaca' and 'The happy ostrich'. Both can be found in my personal shop.
The curious alpaca
2019This alpaca is a combination of watercolor paint and charcoal. This way it looks like a drawing from a children's book. His soft fur and big eyes give him a cute appearance. Ideal as a painting for the nursery! There are two similar paintings, namely 'The content pig' and 'The happy ostrich'.
The dragonfly
2019The fragile appearance I tried to capture with watercolor. The wings folded out and on a small branch as we can often see them on the waterfront. Warming himself up in the sun.
Connected to each other
2018This group of fish are connected in a special way. A kind of 'blood tie' that is created with watercolors. While painting, I kept the paper a little upright. This allowed the colours to flow through to the fish underneath. I had to be quick, because watercolor dries very fast.
Red deer in the evening sun
2018As the sun sets, the red deer runs through the high bushes. Through the backlight it becomes a silhouette and its large antlers are clearly visible. High mountains can be seen in the background.
